Year 2 of giving is officially here!
Last year, thanks to our Mindful Bites community and partners like HungerMitao, we blew past our 200-jar goal. Together, we raised $7,633 and donated 1,204 lbs of nut butter—helping serve 24,000 meals to local families!
Now, we’re kicking off our second annual drive to make an even bigger impact. Nut butter is one of the most needed items at the food bank, and we need your help to top last year's total.
How to Support:
Donate Funds: Gives us the power to buy nut butter in bulk.
Donate Jars: Drop off unopened plastic jars at our collection boxes.
Share: Pass this message along to friends and family.
Mindful Bites is a community organization aimed at kids & youth, focusing on educating them about the importance of good health, proper nutrition, and mental wellness through engaging and interactive sessions. The program's name signifies a dual focus on healthy eating ("Mindful Bites") and fostering a positive mental attitude ("Minds"), suggesting a holistic approach to well-being.
Mindful Bites aims to be more than just an initiative; it seeks to be a movement that sparks a lifelong commitment to health and wellness among children, supported by their families and the broader community.
Nutritional Education: Interactive workshops and fun activities designed to teach children about the benefits of eating a balanced diet, understanding food groups, reading food labels and making conscious and healthier food choices.
Mental Wellness: Introducing concepts of mindfulness and stress management through age-appropriate activities, including how food affects our mood.
Community Engagement: Involving parents, teachers, and local health professionals in various aspects of the program to create a supportive community around the children. This could include interactive learning for students, informational sessions for parents, and other activities.
